Who is responsible
This website is run by Zacharia Mashele, trading as Mashele Media, in Cape Town, South Africa. For any privacy question or request, contact zachariamashele@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
Only what you choose to send when you get in touch, by email, phone or Instagram:
- your name and email address, so Zacharia can reply;
- the type of project, date, location and message you choose to share, so he can understand the brief;
- how you heard about Mashele Media, if you tell us.
This is used only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange the work. It is not sold, and it is not used for marketing lists.
Where it is kept
The form on the contact page of this version of the website is not connected to a mailbox or database. It does not send or store anything: it only helps you put a brief together, then opens it in your own email app or copies it, and nothing leaves your device until you press send there. Messages you send by email, phone or Instagram are handled by your own provider and by Zacharia’s email, phone and Instagram accounts.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It stores one small setting in your browser’s session storage so the opening animation only plays once per visit; it is not a cookie and is not sent anywhere.
Films are hosted on YouTube and Vimeo. Nothing from those services loads until a film preview or player is shown. Film previews on pointer devices, and any film you press play on, load a player from youtube-nocookie.com or player.vimeo.com (with Vimeo’s “do not track” option). Those services may then set their own cookies under their own policies.
